  • When does it start and end?

The retreat begins Friday night at 7pm with a casual reception at 6:30p. Dinner will be served followed by sessions ending not too late so you can enjoy your stay in the room. Saturday we end lunchtime and you can you can grab a bite and be home by 2pm. Or enjoy beautiful & historic Granbury!

  • Who is the retreat for / do we have to be married?

The retreat is engineered for married couples. However dating and engaged couples are invited to attend as well. But the cost only covers one room – you would be responsible for the cost of the additional room.

  • What is the benefit of the weekend?

This is an opportunity for you and your spouse to get away from life's distractions and just focus on Christ and each other. You’ll have opportunities to safely address things you might not otherwise discuss, things important for developing your marriage and hear from others who have shared in the struggles and lived to tell the stories.

  • Can I attend without a spouse?

Yes. The event is structured for couples, so unfortunately the cost is the same.

  • Can we bring children?

No. Only in exceptional cases should a child be with you (i.e medical). Allow yourself this time. Get your head & heart in the game. Your marriage needs you to take the time to focus. Your children also need you to get away. Maybe the best gift you can give your child is a healthier you.

  • What does the cost cover?

Hotel, meals, snacks, and invaluable time away from the grind.

  • Do we have to stay at the hotel?

No, but good luck finding a nicer room for a better price.

  • Is this counseling / will there be counselors attending?

No. Not per se. There are pastors available and if you decide after this weekend, you need professional counseling, TCAL has multiple godly resources to get you connected to the right marriage counselors.
