Maybe its chocolate, videos games, coffee, soap operas, or bubble baths. Or maybe they are a little more of what we traditionally think of as addictions, like pornography, or drugs. Regardless of their form, addictions leave scars. Many times you don't even notive them until they have destroyed all or a part of your life.
